It's Alive!!!

Here it is.... first start up! Larry's RX-7 is finally alive. We've been working on this one for some time now, and it's gonna be awesome! Test run tomorrow!

Tuesday, June 30th....

Busy again!

We've started Larry's FD for the first time today, and we still have a few kinks to work out with that.

We also have Nicks S14 240sx and Jim's daily driver in for service.

It's been past crazy here, and I've been trying to stay on top of the blog, but I can't always seem to find the time.

Thursday, June 26th...

Another day in the heat.

Kevin's RSX-S is in for a clutch and flywheel install. He's a first time TDC customer, and his clean white RSX is a great addition to the TDC fleet.

Also for today, we're starting on Jim's BMW 323i. It's in for a lot of maintenance and repairs. Lots of you may know Jim's other car, the Crossfire SRT-6. We've been doing all the work to Jim's cars since he came to TDC over a year ago.

This week is drawing to a close, and we're looking to next week. The schedule is already packed.

Wednesday, June 24th...

It seems that we just keep getting busier here.....

First thing this morning, we started by installing Tein springs and KYB struts on a 1999 maxima. This car was in bad need of a drop, and looked great on his 18's when we were done.

We finished up Chris' Head/Cam job on his EJ8 civic, and we're swapping the differential into Chris S's new GSR tranny.

Also in today was Eddie's CRV for some maintenance work, and a full Motul lubricants swap.

It feels like the more cars we finish, the more line up outside the doors. Life is great!

Friday, June 18th...

The Saga Continues...

Larry's FD LSX conversion is coming to a close. The wiring is now complete, and with any luck, we should turn the key on Monday.

We're also doing a custom 3" exhaust and a re tune on Dan's 2008 Civic SI. He came to us several months back for a Greddy turbo, and as usual, he's back for more.

Wednesday, June 17th...

Today, we're back on Larry's FD LSX conversion.

We still have Chris' DA in for a new trans and HASport conversion kit, and the other Chris' EK Civic in for head work and a cam. It's another busy week at TDC, and that's how we like it.

We'll be posting progress on the other projects later in the week, so stay tuned!

Shop shot of the day....

Today is a good day at TDC!

Larry's RX-7 went on the lift today, and the LSX swap is in progress.

This is our main focus for the time being, becuase he plans to show this car at HIN on the 27th, and it still needs a week at the body shop! The push its on...

Next up is Tim's G35 Sedan.

Shop shot of the day.....

Still on a few loose ends of an SR20 swap, hopefully going to stay late tonight and hear it run. We're a little behind on this one, but it's going to be nice when it's finished.

Our parking lot keeps getting busier and busier everyday, and we're taking on a lot more work. Soon, we're going to have to find a bigger building. Recession? Ha!



After several months of waiting, we finally received the cross member for Larry's FD / LS1 conversion. I know that a lot of you have been waiting on this, and we're going to try our best to have it done for the June 27th HIN show in Concord, NC. Be on the lookout for this.

Also, we took in Seth's EF civic hatch for some wiring corrections. He payed a huge bill at another local shop only to have a poorly idling car, a non-functioning gauge cluster and a torn apart interior. Rest assured, TDC will get it right.

Chris' DA is in for a retune on the new injectors, and we're tying up some loose ends on an SR swap.

Thursday, May 4th...

Today was a rainy day at TDC. We worked on tying up some loose ends on a few other projects.

Jamie's 3000gt VR4 is finished now, and ready to leave TDC. We finished welding up the wideband and installing the suspension today.

They guys also started on an SR20det swap. We pulled the transmission, installed the new Comp Clutch, and started prepping for the swap.

Wednesday, June 3rd

TDC shot of the day...

We stayed a little late last night to make sure Keseans 240sx was ready to go on the dyno this morning. Everything worked out, we got it started and went home.

Avery and Zac strapped it on to the dyno this morning, and as I was setting the base timing, we realized the last shop to work on this car had installed the distributor a few teeth off. That held us up a few minutes, but we got it right. Avery is in the process of getting the tune right, and soon we'll have some numbers to post.

Also in the shop today is Will's civic hatch. Will is in for some simple wiring, and Zac is on it.

We also plan to start on a SR20det swap today too.

Tuesday, June 2nd....

Shop shot of the day....

We're working on the finishing parts of Keseans N/A SR20 to turbo conversion, and hoping to get it on the dyno in the morning. It's going to be a nice project, and we're hoping for some good lowboost numbers. This is his daily driver/drift car, so safe power and reliability are the focus here.

Avery has been working non-stop on Jamie's 3000gt VR4. You can see it in the back of the shop. Jamie came to TDC after another local shop left him with a bad taste in his mouth, a half running car, and a huge bill.

We've been commisioned to do a huge list of upgrades, including larger turbos, complete fuel system, and a total suspension upgrade. The entire interior of the car came out for several parts to be installed, including custom mounted gauges, AFC, boost controller, and turbo timer. Be watching for updates on this project.

Also, we've decided on the date of our next dyno night. June 27th. Mark your calendars, because you don't want to miss this one! After all, what other shop offers you anything like TDC?
