Head-gaskets on Mustangs and Saabs... Also BMW Maintenance...

This Mustang is in for a small build. Needing new head-gaskets he decided to upgrade with Cometic gaskets and ARP studs to go along with his Trickflow intake manifold, long tube headers, new x-pipe, and a nitrous kit. Car will also be tuned using SCT. We will have charts of the car on motor and on nitrous, stay tuned....


Shawn's Saab is in for a head-gasket replacement with other maintenance. Shawn plans on adding more boost here soon and will be on the dyno for that.


This BMW is in for some regular maintenance. Belts were squealing, in need of an oil change, and new spark plugs. The BMW will be put on the dyno for some baseline numbers for fun.

TDC shop is loaded up with work!!!!

MKIV Supra Turbo Upgrades, Audi Lowering Springs and Prelude Valve-cover gasket

Sam's Audi is in TDC for some Tein Lowering springs on his Audi A4.Sam, a regular here at TDC will be coming back in the next few days for a front mount intercooler upgrade along with a down-pipe and exhaust.







Big horsepower is the reason this MKIV Toyota Supra is in here at TDC. The customer has big dreams and for these dreams he will be upgrading pretty huge. Bigger single turbo upgrade and a tune on AEM EMS. Be on the look out for this dyno sheet!



William's Prelude stopped in for some maintenance also. He had a bad oil leak coming from his valve cover gasket which covered his motor in oil. We replaced the valve cover gasket and added some new spark plugs. The wrapped him up with an Castrol GTX oil change and had him on his way.

Head-gasket replacement and Tuning....

Getting ready for tonight's tuning session, we replaced the head-gasket on the red Integra. We also replaced the 68mm throttle body to a 70mm throttle body and wired in the electronic boost solenoid. We will have some dyno sheets here soon on this car.

TDC Showroom filling up!!

This M3 rolled into TDC today for a diagnostic. Car had been running rather rough lately and needs some regular maintenance taken care of. Car will be wrapped up and ready for tomorrow.

Project STI .... Built Short Block Build...

The newest project to the TDC shop is this 2008 Subaru Impreza STI. The car arrived with engine failure, as the #4 piston had been completely melted. Instead of just fixing the motor, we are going to upgrade. TopSpeed SS1 Short Block will be installed for future power plans and will have this car like new soon enough.

Integra Ball-Joints and Jeep Motor Swaps...

Banner's H22 Integra is in for some suspension work. He recently was on his way home and his ball-joint failed on him. We will be replacing the ball-joint, new axles on both sides. We will have him ready for later today.




Also we had this 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee that role into TDC rod-knocking badly. We will be replacing the blown motor with a new one that arrived today. This car will be out of here by tomorrow!

SR20DET OEM Motor Re-Builds

Austin's S13 SR20DET Drift Car is in the shop for a rebuild in prep for tis seasons drift schedule. A rod knock in the motor to end his season last year. Austin also has plans of upgrading the turbo this season (to a GT2871R) and tuning his new setup (Dyno Tune on Nistune). Be on this look out for this car here at some of the upcoming drift events.

D16z6 - T28 Turbo - Pump Gas Dyno Tune

This setup belongs to Chris from Rock Hill. He brought us the car for a dyno tune, but there were boost leak issues, along with a leaky head gasket before it went on the dyno. We installed a new head gasket, along with a set of ARP head studs, repaired the boost leaks, and got him back on the rollers to finish up the tune.

Here are the results:

Boost pressure was fluctuating between 6.5 and 7.1 PSI. This is due to the internal wastegate.

Domestic Start to a busy week.... Mustang Clutch, Motor Mounts, and Exhaust install....

Ryan's 98 Mustang GT rolled into TDC for some much needed work done. To start it off, a brand new OEM clutch was installed. Ryan was also having issues with his motor mounts so we went ahead and installed new motor and transmission mounts. We also added a new exhaust X-Pipe. To finish off the job we performed an oil change using Castrol GTX oil.

TDC has moved!

Top Dead Center has moved to a bigger and better shop as of January 5th, 2011. In mid December, the shop located on Dudley Drive was broken into and many parts were stolen.
