No rest for the wicked. We're back from Christmas break, and back to the grind!
TDC shop shot of the day.
Mark's S2000 was in today for a tune on AEM EMS. His car was previously tuned by another shop, but he had some drivability and idle issues that he needed cleaned up.
Not only were we able to fix all of his troubles, we were able to squeeze about 20 more hp out of his setup.
Also in today, Andrew dropped off his S372 RSX for some upgrades, repairs, and a dyno tune. We'll be looking for close to 700whp out of this setup.

Another busy week for TDC...
It's been a solid week since we've had a chance to update the blog. Business has grown busier everyday, and the holidays are coming up quick. We've been almost overrun with maintenance work, as well as working on some of the more fun projects.
Here are a few of the projects that we've been working on over the last week:
Chris P brought us kis KA engine for a full build. He plans for this KA-T to produce well over 500whp! 500whp + street 240sx = lots of smiles!
Avery got his new project Integra on the rollers for a baseline and a tune. Before he got the car, it was street tuned by the previous owner. Hubert worked his magic, and the results are night and day!
Check out the before and after charts. That's the precision of a TDC tune!
This week, we've also made a little progress on Tim's G35 / 2JZ-GTE build. The engine is in the car, and we're waiting on a few more parts to get this thing on the road. It's the first of it's kind, period.

Back online...
The internet has been down at the shop for the last few days. Thanks BellSouth!
Now that we're back online, I'll be back to posting daily.
We finished up Chris' turbo DA engine build on Monday, put it in the car on Tuesday and broke it in on the dyno on Wednesday. He has the car for a few days to put a few miles on it, then it will be back in for a tune on Friday.

TDC is busier now than ever!! Seems as though we are growing everyday, and despite the recession, we're taking on new jobs every single day! It's and exciting time for sure!
Today, we're wrapping up Tim's 300zx tranny install. Also, this afternoon, we'll be tuning Jon's turbo CRX. We'll be tuning his setup on E85, so be on the lookout for dyno charts either this afternoon or first thing in the morning.
Cam's GT30R 240sx is back at TDC for some valvetrain work after a mishift, and we'll be starting on Chris Sanborn's DA integra build. We'll be documenting this build step by step for the customer, and all of the info will be uploaded to our online forum.

The power of E85...
This weekend, we Re-tuned Avery's Del Sol on E85 fuel. There were no additional modifications, and no additional boost pressure. All of the power gains are from making the switch to E85!
Here's the chart:
Obviously, the green chart is the 93 Octane tune, and the blue chart is the e85 tune. That's nearly a 10% gain in power from a switch to E85!!
Call the shop to setup your dyno tuning appointment today!!

TDC shop shot of the day...
Dusty's 240sx turbo kit installation is done, and he's on the roller, ready to be tuned. He's only wanting about 6 psi, to keep it safe and fun.
Also, in August we were at the Elite Summer Nationals car show here in Spartanburg. Thsi show has grown steadily over the last few years, and is making a nationwide impact.
Here is the coverage from this months Import Tuner magazine:
That's Steven from Elite's 300zx getting all of the attention, and TDC's own Duke got his LSX RX-7 in the magazine. Congrats guys!

Today, Jason's parts are here for his Scion engine build. For those of you who don't know, Jason has a '05 Scion TC with a Sound Performance turbo kit. He's made well over 350 whp for 2 years, and his stock piston rings have given up the fight. We'll be building his engine with forged Wiseco pistons and Eagle Rods. He'll be shooting for over 500 whp.
Also today, we'll be tuning Avery's turbo Del Sol.

Friday, November 6th...
It's Friday again...
Zac's Del Sol is getting a JDM B16, and a load of other rare JDM goodies, including an SIR steering wheel, Map lights, one piece head lights, JDM running lights and a Jdm rear valance.
Once the swap is running today, we'll be tuning it with Crome gold on a chipped P28. Zac will be using E85 on this set up.
Work continues on Dusty's KA-t 240sx

All in a days work...
Sometimes we build car, sometimes we fix cars... Today was one of those days.
Shane's Z came to us a few months back for some repairs after another local shop built a custom turbo kit for him. After the over heating issues were fixed (from the fans being wired wrong), the gauges rewired, and a few other issues, he brought it back to us for a re tune.
His car uses a SC61 turbo, 550cc RC injectors, and is running 9 psi.
Here are the results:
Note that the red lines are from our tune and the blue lines are from another local shop's tune. The numbers speak for themselves.

Todays work...
Shot of the day....
Jason's STS turbo 350Z is in for some maintenance work, and is a quick in and out job.
I'm also in the middle of assembling the H22 for my civic. This has been a long time coming and has really taken a back seat to other projects in the shop. It's a Benson sleeve, JE piston, Eagle rod setup. I have a Portflow head for it, among other nice pieces. Once we find time to finish it up, I'm gonna shoot for around 550 whp on low boost and closer to 700 whp for the track.

Wednesday, November 4th...
We've been busy at TDC for quite some time now. So busy, that we haven't been able to update the Blog. Here's a few of the more notable things that we've been working on.
Daniels 350Z came to us for a tune. Daniel had installed a PowerLab GT35R Turbo kit on his car, and after some searching for a shop to perform the tune, chose us.
While he was in, he decided to have us install a Competition Clutch Stage 4 and lightweight flywheel. We finished up that stuff no problem and got the Z on the dyno. Hubert managed to squeeze out 376 whp on only 5.5 psi. Not too bad. This will be both a reliable and respectable street car.
"Tony" a local customer who wanted to keep his name to himself, came in for a tune on his turbo Civic sedan. Tony's setup was a D16z6 with Vitara pistons, a ramhorn manifold, and a Ebay T3/T4 turbo. We installed his 1000cc Precision Injectors, AEM Tru-boost controller and Gm 3 bar and got him on the dyno.
Since his tune, Tony has decided to order a little higher compression pistons, Hasport mounts and a Turbonetics turbo. His plans include 500 whp. This car is a true "sleeper".
We've also just taken in Dusty's S14 240sx. He's in for a new tranny and a Turbonetics turbo kit install.

Wednesday, October 22nd...
Still busy at TDC. The cars just keep rolling in.
These are just a few of the projects that we're working on..
Will brought his EG hatch in for an S2000 gauge cluster install.
Zac handled the wring job and had it running in under an hour. All lights are functional. No "tach only" junk.
Hubert's RSX type S is back under the knife. We installed a Comp Stg 5 clutch a few months back, but it just wasn't enough clutch to hold the power.
Avery has been installing a Comp twin disk clutch rated at 800+ whp
Brandon brought us his EG Sedan with a built single cam. It's in for Injectors, GM 3 bar MAP and some other upgrades. We hope to get it on the dyno today. He's shooting for around 400 whp.
Also in this week, we'll be finishing up Jesus' turbo Prelude, working with Dan's 2008 Civic si with the Greddy turbo kit, and just took in a GT35R 350Z for a clutch, flywheel and tune.
Keep your eyes open for updates.
