More Motor Swaps and Saab Motor Update..

Rob brought us his Civic with a blown motor. With him just wanting a stock motor put back into the car we will be putting a D15b back into the car. This should be a quick fix and have him back on the road here soon.



More work on the Saab motor build. When taking the head to the machine shop we found some damage that will be taken care of. There was a bent valve on the first cylinder. Not a big problem since we were replacing all oft hem anyways but was definitely interesting to find.

350Z Motor Swap and Integra Tune...

Shane's 350z motor has finally gave out. After over 25,000 miles of boost it had it's last day. If you remember, we had tuned his car a few months back and made a good bit of more power. For Shane he will be getting a little bit of an upgrade as we have a Vq35DE with ARP Head-Studs and Cometic Head Gaskets. After the motor is installed we will be re-tuning the car.




We will also be cleaning up some issues from under the car. There are a few wires that will need re-routing and all of his exhaust pipes will need to be re-wrapped.



We alo had this Integra in over the weekend for a Crome Gold Tune. As you can see it was a GSR bolt-on setup. The original tune was from a Phearable Base Tune that was ordered online. The Tune cleared up a lot and made a much more power efficient graph

Headgaskets and Megan Racing Lowering Springs...

Brandon need some work done on his H22 Integra. The head-gasket went bad on him and also decided to replace all of the gaskets in the head. The car will be put back together today and have him driving tonight.




Lucas brought us his 08 Civic for some lowering springs. He bought some Megan Racing Springs from us a while back and now has decided to put them on.

SR20 Swaps and Dyno Night Getting Closer...

Scott's 240sx Coupe is in for an SR20det swap. We will be adding a front mount intercooler, HKS BOV, and a cat-back exhaust. Next he will be getting Nistune with bigger injectors and tuning the car for more boost.

Worst Tune / Dyno Chart Contest:

Customer must purchase Wideband to be entered into the "Worst Tune" contest. TDC will choose one car at the end of dyno night, based on wideband readings, and appearance of the dyno chart. The car with the "worst tune" will be awarded with a voucher for half off the price of a normal tune (a $175 - $300 value). Awarded voucher must be redeemed within 30 days. Winning customer is responsible for purchasing and installing any needed tuning hardware.

Worst Tune Contest is open to all vehicles, Import and Domestic. Entered cars can be previously tuned, mods changed, stock cars etc. No requirements to enter the contest.

Integra Tuning and Saab Motor Builds

Tim's Integra went on the dyno for the tuning portion at TDC. The car responded very well and went through everything with no problems at all. The numbers the car made were exactly what Tim wanted.




A while back we told you guys that Shawn had brought us his 2000 Saab for a motor build. Well after waiting a few weeks the pistons finally arrived and with everything set this motor will be going together in the next few days. We will be documenting all of the progress made.

Built Integra and S14 SR20 Motor.....

Tim has brought us his Integra for some finishing touches on his build. His Built and Sleeved Motor with a Synapse Turbo kit will be finished up today and will be on the dyno for a full tune on Hondata S300. Be on the look out for the numbers on this car.


TDC's Sponsored Drift car is getting a new heart. The S14 SR20det is getting pulled out and will be starting the V8 motor swap. The progress on this car will be documented well and will be a very cool build.

Subaru Progress and Dyno Night July 24th...

Eric's Subaru is making more progress here at TDC. He is an Intercooler and a few other pieces away from making this car run once again.

240sx Finishing up and Wide-body Civic Motor Builds

Ryen's 240sx is near completion as we tie down some small lose ends. With the new custom intake installed and new Kevlar Fuel lines in it should be ready to go today.




Uri's Civic is now ready for a built motor. We had installed a Peak-boost turbo kit a while back and now he is ready for a built motor to complete his Wide-body Civic. Be on the look out for the pictures on this build thread.

G35 MAF AND Civic Wiring Harness..

Matt brought us his G35 on Friday because it was not running. We figured out that he needed a new MAF and Installed it this morning. Car runs perfect and will be out the door today.



Jeremy brought us his B20 Civic that he recently just purchase. He brought it to us right after he got it to make sure everything was good. We found some Wiring Harness issues that can be easily repaired and will have him out the door today.

Hondata Intake Manifold Gaskets and Subaru Builds

Chris brought us back his Turbo D16 Civic from Charleston,SC. He needed us to install a Hondata Intake Manifold gasket. We are also checking his Air Fuel Ratios while he is here to make sure the car is running perfect.



Eric has brought us his newly acquired Subaru Impreza to be put back together. He bought the car in pieces with a blown head-gasket. We should have the car running here soon and him back with his new toy.

Regular Maintenance day at TDC..

Lucas, from CarolinaHondas, brought us his GSR Integra for a cam seal install. He also is getting a complete exhaust system installed. He will be done and out the door today.



Also Jenny brought us her 4 Door Civic for her Timing belt, Water pump, oil change. Another fast job and will have her out the door today.

240sx Day .. Nistune and Boost..

Ryen brought us his 240sx Built KA24DE for the final touches on his toy. We are making a custom intake for this build so that the MAF works correctly. He will be getting tuned also so stay tuned for those numbers.





Jesse's 240sx S14 Built SR20 is in for the final touches on his Nistune install. He will be on the dyno this week. Look for some nice numbers from this car.

More Competition Clutch Installs with 2JZ Progress...

Heath brought his 09 SI Civic Sedan for a Comp Stage 4 Clutch. He originally had us install a Nitrous Kit on his car a few weeks back.



When installing the clutch we noticed that Heath had installed an intake on his car since we installed the Nitrous Kit. We found some issues with the way he re-tapped the intake for the nitrous line. we are glad we caught it before any really damage was done. Here are the before and after pictures.



We just received a few more parts for Tim's 2JZ swap.. Here are the Kevlar return oil line we made for this car. Not too far off from being done.

G35 Intercooler and Tuning...

Here is more progress on Tim's G35 2JZ Swap... Intercooler is officially mounted and ready to go.. Next is the intercooler piping..



Travis's Buget Integra Build is on the Dyno and ready to go... This car will be tuned on Crome Gold and with E85... Look for the numbers here soon..



We also had a walk-in customer that needed a clutch replaced. Exedy Stage 1 was put into there car.

Exhaust Studs and Gauge Installs....

Corey dropped his 240sx off for some new exhaust studs. He needs 4 new ones. 2 of them are completely missing! We should have him out of here today.



Also had another customer bring his Turbo Volkswagen Golf over for a Air Fuel Ratio Gauge install. With now knowing the car is running really rich he should be coming back soon for a tune.



And here is the progress we are making with Levi's Eclipse. We are currently installing his Megasquirt system.

MegaSquirt Installs and 2JZ update..

Levi's Eclipse is finally in for a MegaSquirt install and a tune for his car. With this MegaSquirt he will have a full stand-alone system for his Eclipse and a very fun car to drive.


And here is more progress on Tim's 2JZ swap. We had to custom make the water neck off of the motor to get the hoses to fit the stock radiator. Here are the pics..
