TDCauto.com 420a Eclipse - 25g Turbo - E85 Dyno Tune

This car belongs to Zac. This has been a long term project for Zac, and after many setbacks, he's finally made it onto the rollers for a tune.

Here is the dyno chart. The "waves" in the higher RPMs are from boost fluctuation, caused by a manual boost controller and an internal wastegate. This is for 18 psi, dropping to 14 psi.

Civic SI Upgrades - Head-Gasket and Tune....

Heath's Civic SI is back for some more upgrades here at TDC. Heath had a nitrous kit installed a few months back and is ready to add more to his setup. The Civic is in for some ARP Head studs, New OEM Honda head-gasket, Hondata Flash Pro and a few more little goodies. Car will be tuned when all is complete. Be on the look for the chart on this car.

XLR-V Tune at TDC...

Dr. McCraw brought us his 2006 Cadillac ZLR-V in for a tune with HP Tuners. For those unfamiliar with the XLR-V, it features a A 4.4 L (266 cu in) supercharged Northstar engine.

All Stock, no mods

The blue chart is the baseline pull, and the green chart is the tuned pull. Even though this is a bone stock car, notice how lean the stock tune is. Throttle was tipped into slowly on the final pull, there is no low RPM power loss.

TDC Recap.. Weekend of 9/24-9/26

Weekend started off strong for TDC. First it started off with some tuning. Here are the cars and setups that were tuned.

Cam's car made it onto the dyno on Friday. After changing the head gasket, he was looking for a retune on wastegate pressure.

Justin's car was tuned with the fans off, with multiple back to back pulls, to simulate a heat soak condition. The red chart is the base pull, and the blue chart is our tune.

Then Saturday niight TDC rolled out to Shadyside Import-Shootout. We were able to make a few runs down the track till the rain came. We will be at the next event October 30th. Here are some of the pictures from that event.

TDC's NEW TOYOTA SUPRA!!!!

Chris, the owner of TDC, purchased the car he has longed to have for many years now. He had come across a deal for a 1994 Toyota Supra. This setup made 1200+whp and is in unbelievably good condition. Be on the lookout for this car at some of our next events.

Had a customer come in for a run on the dyno with his Z71 Chevrolet truck. With headers, exhaust, LS1 intake manifold, and a K&N Intake, he quickly found out that he is in need of a tune. He will be back in a week or two for a tune on HP Tuners.

Jeremiah's Honda S2000 transmission is back and being installed. With putting the transmission back in, he wanted to cut down on the road noise. So we put DynaMat under the car to kill some of the sound. We will have him done this week.

Eaton M90 SuperCivic and 300zx Repairs

This project has been in the works for a few years. We have the privilege of tuning this fine setup in hopes from some pretty historic numbers. Here is the first ever Eaton M90 Supercharged B-Series kit. The kit is placed in our sponsored car of Marc Osgood. The motor is a Sleeved b18 block with 8:5:1 compression. The Eaton Blower is capable of 500whp. Last night we started tuning the car. We had a few issues but simply ran out of time. On friday the car will be back with some repairs and with more boost put on it. the goal here is 400whp. Keep checking back for the resultS!!!!

Tim's 300zx is back for some regular maintenance. We are also upgrading the radiator to a Koyo Radiator for cooler engine temps. With that we will put the car back on the dyno as it has some boost controller issues.

C5 Corvette - I/H/E - HP Tuners Dyno Tune

This Corvette belongs to Kyle of Spartanburg. After installing new headers and exhaust, he brought it in for a tune on HP Tuners.

Kyles new LG Motorsports headers had slip on, high flow Catilytic Converters, but Kyle decided that those would be better replaced with straight 3" pipes. In an effort to keep the exhaust serviceable, we flared 2 sections of 3" pipe to fit into the headers, using the supplied clamps. This will make reinstalling the cats a simple task later down the road, if it's ever needed.

Shop Dog and 350Z Installs...

Brett brought back his 350Z for some regular maintenance. With that, he order a new Megan Racing Cat-Back exhaust which will go on when it comes in. He is also about to order lowering springs which will have him ready for the new year of school.

And it has been going around the shop for a good while now and it has finally happened. TDC now has a Shop Dog. Her name is Lucy and she is a English Bulldog. So next time your around the shop, come welcome in a new team member!

Mustang Clutch Install with Regular Maintenance

Jeff's Mustang is back for some Regular Maintenance and a new stronger clutch. With Jeff's car tuned just on the motor we will be putting it back on to tune it for Nitrous, which is why Jeff wanted to go ahead and get a stronger Center-force Clutch installed. Watch out for dyno charts next week!

TDC Drag Car's First Import Event!

Here at TDC we decided to get into the drag scene more on a regular basis and our first event would be at ShadySide Import Shoot-Out on September 3rd. And with this it turned out to be a great showing for the shop!

First Place in the 8 Second Class. We had put the car together in 3 days prior to the event and had a blast with it. We will be at the next ShadySide event and plan to make some more appearances at the local tracks here on the weekend.

DelSol Upgrades as Import Shoot-out gets closer!!!

Avery is getting his D16Z6 Honda Delsol ready for this Friday. Shadyside is continuing its Import Shoot-Out once again and TDC plans to be there in full force. On Avery's car, A fully built Crower Head with Cam is going on with a new head-gasket.He is also upgrading to a BRMS D-Series Ram-Horn Turbo Manifold with a 60 Trim Turbo.

Miata Motor Swaps!!!

Dean's Miata motor has seen its last days. With 180k miles and a bent valve, it was time to replace the motor with a newer one with less miles. Comp Stage 2 Clutch and new motor mounts will be added to this job. We will have him out of here tomorrow.
