Turbo Camaro Tune, K20 Nitrous Tune, and CRX Drag Times

Photobucket

Jon brought us his turbo Camaro in for a tune a while back. He had a few small issues with some oil leaks at the optispark, and needed a new set of plug wires. We got him back on the rollers today, with the leaks resolved, and a set of MSD braided wires installed.

Photobucket

Here is Jon's setup:

LT1
355ci w/ main girdle
Scat Crank
Eagle Rods
Scat 9:1 Pistons
Trick Flow heads
Custom Grind Cam

ProTurbo Turbo Kit
PT76GTS Turbo
3" Down Pipe
Open Wastegate Dump

Walbro 255 LPH Pumps
Bosch 60# Injectors
Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump

Tuned on TunerCats

Here is the chart for 14.5 PSI. Jon's car will be back for more boost and more power, once he upgrades his fuel system. Future plans include a Bosch 044 fuel pump, and larger injectors. which will allow us to run more boost and higher RPM.

Barnie brought his RSX back today for a tune on nitrous. We had tuned the car a while back for his cam setup, but this time he had added the 100 Shot.

Here is Barnie's tuning thread from the last time he was in.

Bottle pressure was a little lower than optimal, at 880-900 PSI. We usually like to see around 1000-1100 PSI.

Here is the setup:

RSX-S - k20a2
Toruku street cams (stock valve springs)
RBC Intake Manifold
DC Race Header (designed for mid-range)
3" exhaust > 2.25 or 2.5" exhaust towards the end
Tuned on KPro

Zex Nitrous Kit (100 Shot, 880-900 PSI pressure)

Here is the chart.

We took my CRX out to Union Dragway yesterday. I'd never been to the new track out there, and it's really nice. I had a really good time. This was only our third time out with the car.

Our setup is really basic. Stock sleeves, no block guard, piston rod motor. Tuned on E85, Stock Axles. We put the car together in a few days, and it hasn't changed much at all. Still working the kinks out of the setup.

As you can tell from the video, the 2 step was too low, and the car bogged out of the hole. We pulled out several 7.6 passes. I think that we'll play with the 2 step a little next time, and hopefully see some low 7 sec passes. Maybe I'll play with a little better suspension too.

Delsol Headgasket.....

Photobucket

Zac's Head-gasket has seen its last legs. When everything was pulled off the head was severely warped, but it was nothing the machine shop could not fix. Everything is being put back together to finish his tune on Wednesday.

Here are some pictures from last night. Chris's Supra was in need of some nwe tires and he decided to let the old ones go out with a bang!

Camaro Wrap ups, SR20det Rebuilds, and E85 Tunes...

Photobucket

Daniel's Camaro is coming up to a wrap. With all of the parts on and almost completely done it shouldn't be long till he is back on the road.

Photobucket

Cam's 240sx SR20det is ready to be rebuilt. Cam had some thoughts as to parting everything out and going in another direction but he has decided to say with his setup and build with it.

Photobucket

Zac's car went on the dyno last night for an E85 dyno tune on Crome Gold. Zac decided to not post the numbers as he hopes to make this car as sleeper as possible.

Little more of an update on the G35 2JZ. BOV on and Intake Made!

RX-7 Dyno Numbers and the Delsols bigger plans ...

Charles RX-7 is done with all of the maintenance and minor upgrades performed here at TDC. A GReddy Profec electronic boost controller was installed for a more precise boost level. Charles originally had a Turbo-smart manuel boost controller installed that was not the best.
Photobucket

Also while we were in there we installed a new Kenwood CD player deck in Charles car. He was real interested in being able to listen to his Ipod in his RX-7
Photobucket

Zac's Delsol was thought to be just getting a new B-Series motor in his car but that has changed completely. With a few trades and a little money Zac has come into a complete turbo kit for his car. The kit consists of a brand new BRMS Top Mount Manifold, HKS BOV, a 60 trim turbo, and 880cc Precision Injectors. This car will be tuned on E85 here in the next coming days only on 8psi(this is for driving reliability). but here are some pics of the install process!
