Tuning all night!!!

We're working 2 shifts at TDC....

Mechanical work during the day and tuning at night. We are covered up, and excited to have the work.

Jinx brought his SCCA Solo Civic in today for a tune on Crome Gold. This car is a 9 time National Champion, and should be back on the podium for more wins now that he's working with a TDC tune.



His setup is simple, and conforms to Street Prep Class rules. Here is the mod List:
Stock D16z6
Hytech Header
Edlebrock Intake Manifold
OEM Honda Clutch
Lightweight Flywheel



For comparison, a D16z6 usually makes 105- 110 on our dyno. Jinx was very happy with his numbers, and looks forward to the races!

Tuning on tons of different Makes and Models..

Tuning is the big work for the day. 3 more cars will be hitting the rollers today at TDC.
Crome Gold, Power FC, and MegaSquirt will be the tuning programs that we will be working with.

Busy Days, Everyday at TDC

Work continues on Adam's S14 Drift Car sponsored by TDC. Wiring and tuning on NisTune is all thats left on this project. He will be attending the next StreetWise Event.



New Head-Gasket for James's H22a Accord. We will be doing other maintenance on this car, with a New Header and a tune on Crome Gold.

New S14 SR20 Motor...

Adam's New S14 SR20DET motor just arrived and we will be putting it in the TDC sponsered S14 drift car today. We will be staying in late to get him running and ready for the next event!



Jessie's S14 SR20 has been in here for a Head-gasket Upgrade. Well after seeing some flaws in the wiring, we took the time to fix these issues so that no other problems would arise for him. Here are the before and after pictures. The left one is what it looked like when he had brought it in, and the right is the after product. Notice how many wires that are visible and prone to problems on the left and not on the right.



And here is the video from Chris's Turbo GSR on E85 that we tuned the other night. It made 422whp on 12psi!!

Tuning on E85....

TDC has more experience with E85 tuning than any other shop in the area!!

E85 burns cleaner, cooler, and safer than any other fuel on the market. Due to the lower EGT and resistance to detonation, you will realize between 10-15% more horsepower over your current pump gas tune. Not only is E85 available at most area gas stations, it is cheaper than 93 octane.

Tuning all weekend!!!

Horsepower is our business, and business is good!

We had 4 cars in this weekend for tuning. Here is the dyno chart from Chris' Turbo EG. It's a stock stock block GSR, tuned on E85.

422 whp @ 12 psi!!!!



Jesus ended up with nearly 300 whp on his Stock H22 with a 50 trim T3/T4 turbo! Not to shabby for 8psi. This was a pump gas tune.



Quinn's CRX finally hit the rollers to finish up his tune. We had it on the dyno last week, but tuning was delayed due to some small mechanical issues. We stayed until 1am to get his car tuned so that he could make the opening of Greer Dragway.



Notice how horrible the base run was!! The AFR's were dangerously lean, and the base ignition timing was way off. Quinn's car had been previously street tuned before he bought it. This shows how dangerous and unpredictable a street tune can be. Beware shops or tuners that do not have the proper equipment to tune (ie dyno, wideband, etc.)

These three cars were all tuned on Crome Gold. Our tuning schedule has been very busy as of late, but we still have a few spots open for this month. Give us call to set up your appointment!

S13 with Work Varianza T1S...

Cam's S13 SR20 was in need of new wheels after rolling around on G35 wheels for a good while. With some spacers these Work wheels gave it the touch it needed..



Also had Jeremiah's Nitrous 350z in for a tune on UTEC.

Motor Builds starting and New Wheels on at TDC...

Duke with the RX-7 LSX, had ordered some new wheels and have just arrived. A major fitment upgrade from the previous set.



Work starts on John's Turbo CRX build. Jon had previously had a turbo kit install and was wanting more ever since. Be on the look out for more information on this build.



And we are wrapping up on the SR20 Head-gasket replacement. Should be out of the shop today.

Intercooler Repairs for an Audi...

One of our Regular Customers brought us his Audi A4 to figure out why it was running rough. Here is why..



The body shop that the car had just come from failed to fix everything, and in this case caused a massive boost leak. We will be replacing the intercooler plus doing some other maintenance and should have him right on his way.

Crome Gold Tuning ....

Devan brought us his GSR Integra for a tune. He came in with a P28 with a GSR base-map. The tune was to max out what he had on his setup already. He will be coming back for some more upgrades and another tune soon.

Finishing up the week...

Maintenance is the special today. James 300ZX is having Exhaust work done along with a pop charger and a oil change.

Jack, who is a regular at TDC, is having a new timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment and a oil change done to keep him running smoothly.

Head-gaskets and Regular Maintenance...

Jessie from Asheville brought us his S14 SR20 for an Apexi head-gasket, ARP head-studs and a few other repairs.

James 300zx is in for several repairs after leaving another shop unsatisfied. We will be fixing his problems along with more regular maintenance.

Volks FTW!!

New Volk GT-V wheels arrived at the shop today for Alex's G35, and needless to say he was very pleased with them.

TDC will also be bringing back our Online Parts Store. We will be keeping you posted on when the new release will be so that you can check it out!!

This white High Compression, ITR cam, B20 Vtec CRX was brought to us by Quinn. He came in for a tune on Crome Gold and a chipped ecu.



And here is a shot of Toms' SR20 S14. We will have him on the rollers for a tune.

Back in from the Snow.....

Don brought us his 300ZX for some Dyno numbers. He will be back soon for a Nistune install and tune, as well and HKS BOVs.
