SCT Tuning with a Ford Focus.. KA Swaps

Bill has brought us his Ford Focus for a tune on SCT. This is Bill's track car and he is looking to just get the most out of his bolt-on setup. Also TDC is an authorized Dealer and Tuner for SCT.





We just received another 240sx Hatchback that is having the motor replaced. The motor had seized up on him a while back and with finally finding a new motor we will swap them out for him.

Hasport Mounts and Mock Setups...

New Hasport Motor Mounts have been added to Jon's CRX E85 Build. With serious worries about how the motor would be rocking with all of that power in it, we made the suggestion to him about some better mounts.



Here is the mock up set for Travis's CRX Drag Car. Bisimoto Exhaust Manifold setting this setup off.

H22 Wiring Harness and Drag Car Update...

Carlos brought us his H22a Swapped Prelude that he hasn't been able to get running. Found some messes in the wiring harness which were corrected and also put the axles in with some other maintenance.



Travis finally has brought us the CRX platform for his TDC sponsored Drag Car. Motor is put together and with some more work to the car should be put in soon. We are all very excited about this project.

More Projects for TDC...

Jesse brought us his 240sx KA-T for some issues he was having with it. He built the motor and could never get it running. The car was at another shop were they also could not get the in running condition. After the corrected issues the car will be on the dyno for a tune on Nistune. Check out the work ahead.





Jon's Motor is in!. Few more parts and she will be on the dyno in the next few days.





And here are some shots from tuning Chris's E85 Turbo B18b Integra on Friday.. We tuned it for 7psi and will be turning up the boost Today. Be on the look out for the numbers.

300ZX Repairs and E85 Builds Continue...

Here are some more pictures from Jon's CRX Build.. IT is coming along very nicely and should have it broken in on the dyno Monday.









Payton dropped off his 300zx for some Manifold exhaust leaks and to get it running in general.He has told us that the car wont start at all and is wanting some maintenance done too.

B-Series E85 Turbo Builds .....

Jon had brought us his CRX a while back for just a Basic Turbo Kit install and a tune on E85. As the car was getting put on the dyno to be tuned and Jon decided that he was going to build the car before he would see any results. His original goal was 300whp but now he has set them a bit higher. Also what's different about this build is it is going to be a higher compression motor for faster spool of the turbo.

Back into Action... Recap of What's Been Going On...

Well, I just returned from my trip to California and had a wonderful time out there. Saw tons of cool cars and enjoyed the weather big time.lol But its back to work and im going to try and catch you back up on some of the bigger things that have been going on here at TDC.



To start it off, TDC's sponsored Drift Car got some new suspension. New Tein Flex Coilovers replacing his old Ksports. Just an better overall upgrade for the S14 for drifting purposes.



Also had this Crossfire return to us for some upgrades. He had us install new upgraded pulley for his supercharger and bearings. He has been interested in getting a tune so be on the look out for that.



TDC's EK Hatch is getting a new motor! D15b is going into this car with plans of boosting it here very soon. Nothing crazy going to be coming out of this car other then a very clean setup with some power.



Disney's Civic was back in for a tune. He made some changes to his setup and needed the changes made in his tune.



Last thing to note is that we had one of the Moderators from Carolina Nissans come in for some numbers on his setup.

TC Mounts and Firebird Dyno Numbers

Shawns 2000 Saab build is continuing here at the shop. With the head being taken off and the pistons coming out, everything will be sent to the machine shop today. Look for the next few days as we will start assembling the motor.



Another customer was in for some Motor Mounts on their Scion TC. This upgrade was the start of a few with the customers plan of boosting the car in the near future.



Last but not least we had a Pontiac Firebird roll onto our dyno today for some numbers. He was interested in a tune and wanted to see what his car was making.

Sparco Seats and European work continues...

Work Continues on Shawns Saab Engine Rebuild. When the engine is all complete we will be tuning the car on T7 Suite.

Cam's S13 SR20det just had his new Sparco Seats installed. A nice touch to his daily driven 400whp ride.

RX-7 Pre-tuning Dyno and NSXs.....

Duke's RX-7 LS1 is back at TDC for some numbers on the dyno. We will be tuning his car on HP Tuners next week so be on the look out for that.



Also Igor , one of our longtime customers/friends came by to with his NSX for some regular maintenance and prices on Big Brake Kits. We will have him here soon to have them installed.

European Thursdays

Sam's Audi A6 is in for a new set of tires. We had his Audi in a few months ago for a new intercooler and some other repairs. While he was in, we noticed that his tires were past the wear bars.

Also today, Shawn dropped off his 2000 Saab Viggen for an Engine rebuild. The turbo 2.0L will be getting a new set of JE pistons, new bearings, pumps, etc.

Stock B16 - Crome Gold Tune...

This car belongs to Rodney from Spartanburg. He brought his car in for a tune on Crome Gold last night. He was previously tuned on Crome by another local tuner.

This is the 7psi chart. The blue chart is from the previous tuner, and the red chart is our tune. We also tuned for 11psi, but those numbers were not posted, as requested by the customer.

Built D16 Tune... Crome Gold

This setup belongs to Chris of Charleston who brought his car to us for a transmission rebuild and a retune. Apparently his setup was tuned a couple of years ago. He was only expecting a touch up to compensate for wear and tear on the motor and turbo but came out with more power and better gas mileage.

The gains down low are attributed to a/f ratios more than anything else. The gains up top are slightly due to fuel and mainly ignition timing.
